Student of the Year winner Jemma Sharp receives her award.
Innovative building services projects were commended by experts in the sector at the 9th Annual Awards of the Commissioning Specialists Association (CSA).
The Leonardo Royal Hotel City, overlooking the Tower of London and the River Thames played host to the presentation dinner, during which awards were presented in nine categories, recognising professional endeavour, product innovation, skills development, engineering prowess and service delivery.

The main presentation ceremony was hosted by ITV’s Andrea Byrne, who also conducted an enthusiastically-supported game of ‘Higher or Lower ‘on behalf of the CSA’s elected charity for this event, Great Ormond Street Hospital. A total of £2605.00 was raised on the night, and the CSA extended sincere thanks to everyone who donated. The event was rounded off with some live music performed by The Parachutes.
CSA Chairman, Keith Barker, commented: “This year’s awards programme proved to be another huge success and once again provided an excellent forum through which to celebrate business and professional excellence right across our sector.”
His colleague, and newly appointed CEO of the CSA, Neil Burdess, added:” This year’s entry submissions were of an extremely high calibre, making the whole judging process extremely challenging. In most cases, the points differential was minimal, with the Judges commenting on both the quality and variety of entries. I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to all those who took the trouble to enter and would urge everyone engaged in the commissioning arena to consider the commercial value that this activity can bring to their business, and ensure they are suitably represented at future events.”
The call for nominations for the 2025 CSA Awards will open early in the New Year. Please visit the website for further details. Entries are sought across the nine categories, which cover the achievements of both companies and the individuals working within them.
For the awards dinner itself, individual places, or tables of ten are available. For more information, visit the website www.csa-awards.co.uk or contact the awards programme producers, Touchwave Media, by phone on 07785 290034 or by email at andrew@touchwavemedia.co.uk.
